FAQ

I am thinking of coming alone, will I be the only one without a friend?

Many retreat and workshop attendees come along alone, and initially feel like this, but they needn't worry. We are a very friendly bunch and encourage people to connect and make friends immediately.

I'm not working as a social influencer, nor am i particularly creative, is Sisterhood still for me?

Yes!  Sisterhood is for all women of all ages and all walks of life. We try to make the workshops accessible to all, and we are not expecting anyone to be masters at them.  Just come with an open mind and a willingness to learn.

Who comes to the retreats? can i bring my children / dog?

All women from all walks of life, all nationalities, and all ages are welcome. I am afraid that no babies or children can attend our retreats and workshops.  We feel our events are a chance for the attendees to switch off from their daily lives, The 'sisters' who have attended our previous retreats and workshops have been diverse in their age, nationality and creativity - and this makes each one unique and special. Please note that no dogs can be bought to our retreats as we can't guarantee that our guests won't have allergies.

Can I come as a helper in return for a free place?

We already have a core team of helpers, and as such we don't usually need any further help. That said, we are always looking for workshop leaders, so if you have a creative workshop idea or a talk you think would be suitable for us, please do get in touch via our contact page.

Where can I find your upcoming events?

We are in the planning stages of 2018 and beyond. You can find details of these on our 'future events' page. If you'd like to be the first to hear of our new events, you can sign up to our mailing list.

What is included in each ticket price?

Each event differs.  Please take a look at the event ticket page for more information. All tickets must be paid for in advance.  We do not pay for your travel expenses.  If any additional costs are needed, then these will be detailed on the ticket purchasing page.

Will I be able to find someone to share a lift with to the event?

Prior to the retreat there will be a chance to get to know your fellow 'sisters' by accessing a private Facebook group.  This group is there for you to arrange travel, chat about your work and lives and to make friends before meeting.  We have found this invaluable in the past and the previous retreat attendees still use these groups to connect and chat, it is a wonderful community.

I have a dietary restriction, will there be something for me to eat?

Yes.  We can cater for most dietary needs.  Vegan, vegetarian, gluten and dairy free. Please remember to complete this form at the ticket checkout.

Do you accept cancellations and issue refunds to tickets?

Due to the involved logistics, we have a strict no refund policy regardless of circumstance. If you do need to cancel it is up to you to find a suitable replacement - please notify us if you are unable to make it. We strongly encourage you to have travel insurance to cover the retreat.
