We are delighted to be back in our 'spiritual home' The Forge in Bristol.  You may remember our first supper was held there back in November 2015.

Join us on Saturday 28th 2018 at 9.30am a day of Self Care, slowing down, focusing on movement, relaxation, good food and natural skin care.

Yoga - with Clem Balfour of Yoga Brunch Club

We will start the day with an hour of gentle yet restorative yoga, with the brilliant Clem Balfour, founder of Yoga Brunch Club. Clem will be bringing her much loved class to our Sisterhood event and will be focusing on stretching and relaxation - perfect for beginners.  Please don't worry if you are a complete novice at yoga, just come with an open mind and please remember to bring your own yoga mat. (we do have a few going spare, so not to worry if you haven't one).

Clem Balfour is a yoga teacher and founder of Yoga Brunch Club. Clem came to yoga over a decade ago and teaches uplifting classes inspired by vinyasa flow (aligning breath and movement), which allows her to respond to the energy in the room. Her classes are often set to a modern playlist, combining elements of Yin and Yang, to help balance out your energy and allow you to experience the effects of Yoga for your body and your mind.

As a passionate foodie with a desire to bring a wider community together and make yoga more accessible, she founded the Yoga Brunch Club four years ago. Designed to give you the opportunity to pause, breathe, stretch, eat and connect with a new group of people who share similar interests. Yoga Brunch Club’s popular events run monthly in London and Bristol, combining a fun, energising yoga session followed by a three-course, sit-down feast in beautiful surroundings.

Meditation & Chinese Medicine with Gemma from The Quiet Heart

After yoga, Chinese medicine practitioner and mindfulness coach,  Gemma, The Quiet Heart, will guide us through gentle meditation and will be teaching us how to look after ourselves in early Spring.  - Please bring a blanket to cover yourself with, to stay warm.

Three Course Brunch cooked by Steph Boote

Steph will be cooking a hearty vegetarian menu for our brunch.  To fill your body after your exercise and meditation.  

Stephanie Boote began working professionally in food 8 years ago, mentored initially by pan-Balkan chef Jon Gionleka of Peckham Bazaar. And moved on to develop menus for Wild Caper in Brixton, briefly baking alongside Franco Manca co-founder Bridget Hugo. After consulting for various companies, her focus turned to pop up restaurants and supper clubs, moving to head up menu development and execution for Gingerline and launching their HQ. Steph was lucky enough to be surrounded by various wonderful women, building exciting businesses working inside and outside of kitchens and running events for a while after this. 

Meanwhile, Steph started SBC and over time in London and a stint in Paris, found herself specialising in catering weddings, as well as smaller private events, cooking at family homes.  Steph also is a food stylist on the side for interesting projects and cook books, as well as film.
